It's a beautiful time of year when the cherry blossom blooms.  One of the trees near my home is always covered, always a pleasure to see it and to know that warmer weather is on the way.  

 

Hanami (花見, "flower viewing") is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers; flowers (hana) in this case almost always refer to those of the cherry (sakura) or, less frequently, plum (ume) trees.  Credit Wikipedia.
