This drawing evolved from an older piece from some years ago.  I initially drew one of my cats in silhouette with a fire and brimstone background, the cat ended up with horns and a pointed devil tail.  I decided to revise the idea with one of the big cats, this one is Maya, she didn't need horns or a pointed tail as she is impressive enough!  The backgound for this drawing was inspired by a glorious sunset we saw whilst on holiday at Portland Bill.

The original was drawn with coloured pencils on Pastelmat.
